Developing a Decision Tree Algorithm for Wind Power Plants Siting and Sizing in Distribution Networks

The interconnection of wind power plants (WPPs) with distribution networks has posed many challenges concerned voltage stability at the point common coupling (PCC). In a network connected WPP, short-circuit ratio (SCR) and impedance angle seen PCC (X/RPCC) are most important parameters, which affect (VPCC) stability. Hence, design engineers need to conduct WPP siting sizing assessment considering SCR X/RPCC each potential site ensure that requirements defined by grid codes provided. various literature works, optimal distributed generation in (DG) been carried out using analytical, numerical, heuristics approaches. majority these methods require performing computational tasks or simulate whole network, is complex time-consuming. addition, other works proposed simplify have limited accuracy. To address aforementioned issues, this paper, decision tree algorithm-based model was developed for networks. eliminates system provides higher accuracy compared similar previous works. For purpose, accurately predicts key criteria given point, including VPCC profile maximum permissible generation, values point. results confirmed noticeable high predicting under validation scenarios considered.
